Our remarkable work - Barts Charity
a student learning at Healthcare Horizons

Our remarkable work

We work closely with our partners, Barts Health NHS Trust and the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at Queen Mary University of London, to drive life-changing improvements to healthcare in our East London community.

At Barts Charity we have East London in our hearts and we want healthier, longer lives for everyone in our community. Together with our partners we make better healthcare possible, funding brilliant ideas and ground-breaking research to transform lives.

We invest in inspiring people and projects that have the greatest impact on the health and lives of local people. And as our local community is one of the most diverse places to call home, what makes a difference in East London has the potential to touch lives across the world.

To mark the 900th anniversary of St Bartholomew’s Hospital in 2023, we’ve launched the Barts 900 Campaign. Our goal is to raise over £30 million to fund two new world-class medical centres in East London that will serve residents and employers in the area, delivering local and global impact.
