Hackney Half Terms and Conditions 2026
By accepting a Barts Charity place at Hackney Half Marathon 2026, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions:
- Registration
- Your place in the Hackney Half is secured through Barts Charity and is subject to confirmation by the event organiser.
- In addition to registering with Barts Charity, you must also register with the event organiser (we will send you a link)
- You agree to register with the event organiser within four weeks of paying your registration fee to Barts Charity. No additional fee required.
- Fundraising Commitment
- You agree to raise a minimum of £350 (excluding Gift Aid) for Barts Charity
- You will have reached the minimum fundraising target of £175 by April 24 2026, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- If you do not meet this minimum fundraising target by April 24, Barts Charity reserves the right to withdraw your place.
- Registration Fees
- A registration fee of £25 payable to Barts Charity is required upon completion of the Barts Charity registration form. This fee is non-refundable, even if you fail to register with the event organiser, withdraw or fail to meet fundraising targets.
- Communications
- By signing up to this event you agree for Barts Charity to contact you with race-day information, training and fundraising tips in relation to this event. This may include email, phone call or text message. You can update your preferences at any time and Barts Charity will fully respect your wishes.
- Withdrawal and Transfers
- Notification: If you need to withdraw, inform Barts Charity as soon as possible.
- Transfers: These places are non-transferable and cannot be deferred to future events.
- Event Participation
- Health and Safety: You participate at your own risk. Ensure you’re medically fit and have trained adequately.
- Event Rules: You will adhere to all rules and guidelines set by the event organisers.
- Minimum Age: Participants must be at least 17 years old on the event date (or whichever minimum age the event organisers stipulate)
- Fundraising Conduct
- Ethical Standards: All fundraising activities should be conducted ethically and in line with Barts Charity’s guidelines
- Publicity and Data Protection
- Media Consent: By participating, you consent to the use of event images for Barts Charity’s promotional purposes. If you do not wish to have your event images used please contact us at hello@bartscharity.org.uk or 0207 618 1720.
- Data Handling: Your personal data will be handled in accordance with Barts Charity’s Privacy Statement and may be shared with event organisers as necessary
