Nurse/AHP Clinical Research Fellowships

Are you a nurse or allied healthcare professional who wants to pursue a PhD? Barts Charity is piloting a brand new funding programme for people like you.

You can apply if you

  • are a trained nurse or allied healthcare professional
  • already hold an MA, MSc or have equivalent relevant workplace experience and
  • are planning to work on a clinical research project as part of a PhD

Barts Charity will fund PhD fees, salary and a £5,000 consumables allowance to successful applicants for three years of full time study, or up to five years' part-time study on a pro-rata basis.

Your chief supervisor must be based at Barts Health NHS Trust, or Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry. You do not need to be an employee of these organisations when you apply but you must be based at one or other when you begin your fellowship.
