Tottenham supporters spur on neurology ward at The Royal London

10 Jan 2017

A group of Spurs fans have very generously donated £1,115 to the neurology ward at The Royal London Hospital in memory of another avid fan, Martin.

Martin was treated on the ward during spring last year. He was admitted with abscesses on the brain but sadly passed away in June after three months at The Royal London.

His partner Kathryn was keen to give something back to the staff who cared so well for him.

Mark, a friend of Martin and Kathryn, helped organise a raffle through the “Tottenham Ticket Exchange” Facebook page.

He managed to secure prizes including match tickets, signed legends t-shirts, an unused champions league football and a signed Harry Kane England shirt.

Mickey Hazard, one of Tottenham’s ex-players, also donated a signed legends shirt.

We'd like to say thank you to Kathryn, Mark and everyone who contributed to the fantastic amount raised. It is an incredibly meaningful way to honour Martin’s memory.

The donations will support staff in delivering the best care to other patients on the neurology ward at The Royal London.
