Update - 23/06/2016: Stuart last week presented a cheque for £1,828 to Manoj Ramachandran (pictured) for our Barts Kids Bones appeal - helping patients at the children's orthopaedic clinic. Thank you Stuart!

Update - 14/04/2016: We're delighted to say Stuart's finished his amazing trek. He reached the city of Santiago de Compostela on Tuesday (12th) afternoon, completing the trek in 31 days. A huge well done! His sponsorship page is open until the end of May.

Update - 08/04/16: It's day 28 of 32. Stuart's just reached Ourense, 107km outside Santiago, and he's hoping to finish by Tuesday. He's still smiling despite the rain! (pictured). Fantastic effort.

Update - 21/03/16: Stuart's 10 days into his walk and has done around 300km. "Hard going with lots of rain, but all is on schedule", he says. Well done Stuart!

Stuart’s a Radiography Assistant Practitioner at The Royal London and is undertaking this incredible challenge to raise money for the patients and staff on the children’s orthopaedic clinic, which our appeal supports.

Over the course of 35 days, Stuart will walk 1,000k (621 miles) on the Via de la Plata Camino trek – an ancient pilgrimage route across Spain.

The route starts in Seville, southern Spain, and winds up to Santiago de Compostela in the north.

Stuart’s going it alone, sleeping in hostels along the route. He’s also covering all expenses meaning 100% of his sponsorship we receive will go directly to our Barts Kids Bones appeal.

And it’s not the first adventure like this he’s done – his last walk was 860k!

We wish Stuart all the best for this amazing effort. You can support him here: https://www.justgiving.com/stuart-peters4/.
