An eggstraordinary thank you…

We’d like to say a huge thank you to you for supporting our 2016 Easter appeal, Egbert’s Eggstraordinary Challenge.

Your incredible help meant we hit our target and all children and elderly patients staying in the hospitals we support over the Easter holidays received a gift.

From Easter eggs and packets of chocolate to arts and crafts, there were a lot more smiles put on patients’ faces thanks to you.

Having previously run the appeal primarily to help children staying in the hospitals we support, this year we were also able to help elderly patients too.

Andrew Daly – Associate Director of Nursing at Whipps Cross said on Twitter: “Easter eggs have arrived for our older people’s wards at Whipps, thank you Barts Charity.” And Dionne Daniel, Senior Nurse, said: “thank you for the eggs for patients. There was enough for the Stroke Unit as well. Lots of happy patients.”

Our Community Fundraiser Ellie said: “We’re so grateful to everyone for their support of our appeal. Giving Easter eggs to patients in hospital is a simple but amazing way to put a smile on people’s faces and make the holidays a little easier for the children and elderly patients that our appeal helps.”

Thank you  for making Egbert’s Eggstraordinary Challenge such a success – we couldn’t have done it without you!
