The Respiratory Medicine service treats patients with a full range of respiratory diseases. A dedicated Cystic Fibrosis unit opened in 2003. The Respiratory Medicine service offers specialist clinics in allergy, asthma, Cystic Fibrosis, the Disordered Breathing clinic and drug resistant tuberculosis. General respiratory medicine care is predominantly at The Royal London Hospital and specialist medicine care at The London Chest Hospital. The Barts Health NHS Trust has begun to present cutting edge research and services fuelled by funding from Barts and The London Charity to enable improved treatment strategies for its patients.
