Fundraising advice
We are very grateful to all the wonderful fundraisers who raise money for the hospitals and worthy projects that we support. If you’re planning an event, we’ve got a few top tips for you…
1. Tell the world
Don't be shy - tell everyone about it, from the postman to Aunty Maureen. Perhaps they could cheer you on and sponsor you? Use email, texts, the internet, the intranet, shout a lot… whatever it takes to spread the word.
2. Look into JustGiving
Set up a page on the Just Giving website to encourage donations. Click here to find out more. It’s free, secure, and very easy to manage. You can read some tips on how to set up a cracking site here.
3. Drum up some more sponsors
You can download one of our paper sponsorship forms here.
4. Ask your sponsors to Gift Aid their donation
If your sponsor is a UK tax payer, we can claim up to 25p back from the government for every £1 (at no extra cost to them!). Find out more about Gift Aid here and download a Gift Aid form.
5. Tell us what you're up to
We would love to know what you're doing – and why you're doing it. We also like writing about our fantastic fundraisers on this website and in our newsletter (don’t worry, nothing will appear without your permission). Please email us at pat.gray@bartshealth.nhs.uk
6. And remember...
Keep it safe, keep it legal, raise lots of money… and enjoy yourself. Please download our fundraising guidelines for further advice.
