About us

We are an independent charity, governed by a highly qualified board of trustees and advisors. The Charity is dedicated to supporting the patients treated at Barts.

Our vision is to promote excellence in healthcare by raising, investing and granting funds for research and equipment.

The Charity supports innovative projects that would not be funded by the NHS. This year, in addition to our historical commitment, we have allocated a further £7 million to new projects. However, we receive requests for at least twice this amount, which is why we seek partnerships with external donors.

Thanks to our endowment, all administrative costs are covered – so 100% of your donation will go straight to your chosen cause.

Over the past nine years, we have provided more than £150 million via grants and fundraising.
We are delighted that so many people, from individuals to corporate organisations, choose to support our charity to benefit our patients.
